A bamboo fountain is a fantastic piece that will look great in any spot in your home, whether you want it for indoor or outdoor decoration. The reason that people love these structures is the fact that they are not only beautiful, they provide relaxation. Think back to a time when you’ve been around a nice fountain. Didn’t it just seem to make everything feel so peaceful? In fact, even looking at the water moving around can be entrancing.

It’s a completely different feel than other types of materials, like copper, slate, bronze, resin, or fiberglass. A common misconception is that these pieces are Japanese. It’s important to note that they are not, in fact. Bamboo doesn’t grow in Japan, it grows in China. Therefore, if you have one of these you have a Chinese fountain. Japanese style fountains have a different look to them. It’s more modern and has a less emphasis on the outside world.

They can be solar powered; they can sit on your tabletop (or desktop or shelf top for that matter). They can be handmade and look excellent when they are, and they can be very large or very small. In fact, you can get them made out of the other materials, most likely it will be fiberglass, though.
Will birds want to use it as a birdbath? That’s entirely possible, as it all depends on how inviting the area seems. If it’s in your backyard or near a pond of some sort they are much more likely to come. Also, it helps to scatter the bottom of the piece with pebbles if they aren’t there already.
